The Irish Government’s Section 481 Tax relief will benefit any inward productions and the level of return now at 32% of local eligible spend means substantial funding is available to co-production partners.
Ireland also has many sources of funding available for co-production projects from organisations such as Bord Scannán na hÉireann/Irish Film Board and the Broadcasting Authority of Ireland to Irish broadcasters.
Ireland is a party to the European Convention on Cinematographic Co-Production and has bi-lateral co-production agreements with Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Luxembourg and South Africa.
